Liz Yule’ Summer School 2008

Liz Yule is running two Summer Schools courses this year. The August one is full – any cancellations will be notified in this page – but she is still recruiting for 16th – 20th June. Members who have been before have been enthusiastic about these courses, and they are good value for money, The cost is £60, location is Rait & Wormit Yacht Club and each day runs from 09.15 – 16.30 (Friday 09.15 – 13.00). If you are interested ring Liz on 553298 or email her at lizyule@yahoo.co,uk

The remaining workshops this year have all got to or exceeded their necessary minimum numbers, but there is still space for more people if you want to join. Both Allan Perera (Oils) and Fiona Haldane (Pastels) are prepared to squeeze an extra one or two in, especially new members who may not have had an opportunity to join earlier - ring Joy Scott if you would like a place (01828 633811)

Fiona Henzie is a new member and would like to extend an invitation to all members of D.A.S. to load up to 5 free images of original work to her art24seven site.  If members would like to add more than 5 works then the advertised rates on the site apply.  All works are selected by jury process.  They can be added immediately by following the links on the site.  Alternatively if you wish to become an art24seven member and load more than five we are offering a one off membership of £50 (rather than a yearly membership) - list your work under the categories of emerging, professional or famous artists or gallery.  Whatever the case you may load your 5 free works now, and take it from there.  You have nothing to lose.   For further details please contact Fiona at fionahenzie@uwclub.net

Members Work Pages

Members are reminded that they can display their work on the society website. This service is free to all members.

You will be asked to supply around thirteen good quality digital images of your work including titles and prices (supplying of prices is the artists own decision and not compulsory) and a brief summary about yourself in about 50-70 words.

If you wish to display your work please send images as an attachment with your request

POST MY WORK ON WEBSITE

It is the responsibility of each individual exhibiting work if they wish to keep their page updated by informing the webmaster of any necessary changes.

Dear Members,

I have been checking out a site which seems to good to be true, which was brought to my notice by Liz Kay. The chap who runs it is offering a site which lists all Scottish Artists and Galleries, which artists can simply join if they live in Scotland. There is no charge; I was skeptical at first, but have been in email correspondence with Webmaster and consider it is OK. Instructions about joining are on the website - www.scotlandsartists.com

Best Wishes
John
