The Society provides a friendly support network of like minded people with various levels of expertise and aims to stimulate interest in the visual arts of Broughty Ferry and surrounding areas. It also aims to encourage the practice of art among its members.To encourage the artistic ability of our young people prizes are awarded annually to pupils from Grove Academy and Forthill, Barnhill and Eastern Primary pupils. Art classes and a series of demonstrations / lectures are arranged throughout the year. The annual exhibition, held to promote the work of Society members, attracts many visitors. Each year members surpass themselves in producing and selling many quality paintings, highlighting the extent of their wealth of talent and creativity. |
